Christine & Jon // A Gustie Wedding in the Wisconsin Northwoods
Christine and Jon are two beautiful souls that I sincerely wish I would have known while we attended Gustavus Adolphus College together. Though we never interacted, we heard of each other through our mutual friends (which thanks to Gustavus' incredible ability to harbor a warm community, was never a problem). Christine and Jon recently graduated from Gustavus this past year! Christine currently works for an incredible and up-and-coming communication company, Kipsu, and Jon will be applying to medical school. Though Christine and Jon are two brilliant people, their kindness never waivers. By the end of the day, I felt as if I have made two new best friends.
Christine and Jon's special day was a fairy tale from start to finish. Their wedding took place in Brule, Wisconsin at Brule River Farm, a venue that was built by a Finnish craftsman as a dairy farm that was recently turned into a wedding venue. Lingering the grounds are ponds, willow trees, and gardens, all surrounded by plains and forest. We felt as if we were in our own little world. From getting ready in an adorable cottage, their ceremony underneath a willow tree, the personal touches of Christine's late father, Steve and the warm and enthusiastic energy brought by our Gustie friends, Christine and Jon's wedding was a tale of its own.
I have to say "thank you" to Christine, Jon, and our Gustie friends for providing me with their affectionate and loving energy. It was extraordinary to be surrounded by the Gustavus community again and to feel their love; I genuinely wish every human being could have felt how kind-hearted you all are. Thank you, my marvelous Gusties.
And of course, we danced our hearts out as if we were back at The Dive (don't ask) again, just like old times.
